Well it's Friday... We have a great praise report... We thought that we were going to have to pay for broken air conditioners ... but come to find out that the hail had damaged them and the Landlord replace both Air Conditioners... Upgraded one.. and finally it is cool in the church.. thank you Jesus... you are always faithful when we are not...

Well I hope you have a great weekend... Be praying for Tristan Gipson as she heads into surgery next week... Pray and fast for this beautiful little girl...

Baptism Yesterday...WOW!

Hey everyone... what a great day we had yesterday.. Great worship.. Josh rocks... I taught on Peter's Red Flag Warnings... What a great time we had yesterday... several people prayed to rededicate their lives to God... He is so Amazing.... then we headed over to Paul and Mary's Home for our baptism... what a "great" time we had.. We had several people get baptized some for the 1st time others rededicating their lives to HIM.. I am amazed at what God continues to do in Lubbock TX.. with a bunch of misfits... He is way cool... I will try and post a video of he baptism as soon as we get it produced...

Don't forget Wednesday we will be in I Samuel 10... Saul gets a new Heart...

then On June 8Th... VISION SUNDAY... You don't want to miss that... Great things the Lord wants to do with us...

Amarillo Here I Come...

Well on Monday I made my way to Amarillo, not for fun but for a Dr's appointment for my truck... You see on Saturday when I went to start it... well it didn't.. Mike Gipson came over after the men's fellowship breakfast and knew just what the problem was... Fuel Pump.. a couple of hits on the bottom of the gas tank... and it started right up... Now I am told by my friend Kevin ( who worked on the truck) that start is a "free one" get it to the mechanic ASAP.. Well through much prayer .. the cost was about a billion dollars... ( $635.00) but if you don't have it... it could be a billion. Well Mike and I thought we could do it... but I had never seen it done or anything... Mike was confident... I was a little scared... well after much prayer the Lord put on my heart a good friend who goes to Grace Church in Amarillo, he fixed my truck once before... I called him on Sunday and he said if you can get it here... we fixed for a very reasonable price.. not free but a good price... so Monday morning around 7:45am I was off to Amarillo... the truck started (thank you Jesus) and I was on my way... I had no problems and when I got there we picked up the part and 2 hrs later he was DONE... Praise God... But not only did my truck get fixed... I found a great way to Outreach our Youth in Lubbock...turns out that Kevin is a race car driver and he showed me his latest creation... (check out pics) we thought we would bring it down here and turn it on in the neighborhood... what power, speed, looks, and yet what a platform to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others... well that's my story...

don't forget we will be in I Samuel 9... The Sovereignty of God!! bring a friend.. I can't wait to see what God will do...

Jesus is King of Kings Amen!

Hey sorry I haven't posted in awhile it's been a long week... It started out with what I thought was a stomach bug... but ended up being the flu... I was out of it on Monday and Tuesday... Thank God by Wednesday night I was running around 90%.. The study was awesome... we had great worship, Josh rocks. I taught our of I Samuel 8... How Israel demanded a King... for security and battles... and yet we do that same thing... what kings are we asking for each and every day of our lives... It should only be the KING OF KINGS...

Well I just finished studying for Sunday... we will be in John 18:1-14 " A Betrayal, Arrest and a Missing Ear" Come out for a time of worship and teaching... hey don't forget to invite someone..

Don't forget tomorrow is our monthly Men's Fellowship Breakfast.. Starts at 7:00am and It wouldn't be the same without you.

On a sad note... Please pray for my friend Wayne.. his brother passed away today.. keep him and his family in prayer...

Happy Mother's Day...

Hey guys... just wanted to say Hope you have a Happy Mothers day.. We will be in John 17... as we continue to make our way through this Gospel.... We normally don't do a special message on holidays.. Our heart is to be very cautious with those who have lost children or can't have children... We believe that Mom's are the best... as a matter of fact I have a great mother in law who is awesome. So we just try to let people know how much we do love them... but try not to make them feel less special or yucky simply due to what life has given them... so we will be in John 17 " the real lords prayer" but you might want to invite a friend who doesn't know the Lord, it will be a awesome message with a great invitation to join God's family... You don't want to miss it... God instructions are clear... Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...
That's our vision... To teach people to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Hope to see you on Sunday...

Monday's Thought Life- Evangelism

Hello, hope you are doing well. We had an awesome service yesterday.. The teaching was out of John 16:16-33 Jesus gives His farewell address and teaches His Disciples that People will See Him if they look with the eyes of their heart. Through out the ages people can see Jesus in the lives of true believers... What an awesome day... 2 people prayed to receive Christ and I believe that we have turned the corner... So our thought life is on evangelism. Everyone Needs Jesus.. We need to be passionate about Him and let Him shine and reflect in our lives... then people will see the Risen Savior....
On another note: We had a blast in Florida, we learned so much and ate so much.. the trip back home was long... but man is it good to be "Home" I love this place and I love you guys...
It was so good to sleep in your own bed... Well better go for now... we have some folks painting so I'm wondering what they are up to..haha..

Day 2

Hello everyone, we are on day number 2 as we get ready to go back to cck do join them for their staff meeting... what a great privilege to be here. We finally got some sleep and now we are ready for what God has for us. Please pray as we listen to what we should be learning...
I know that we can't compare churches...but we can apply leadership principles that we learn so we can honor Jesus...
